This guide is for approved Verbtec beta testers on 64-bit Windows. The build installs the VST3 plug-in used by Ableton Live and other VST3 hosts.
1. Verify the download
Download only from the official Atom Plugs beta page. The expected installer is ATOM-Plugs-Verbtec-Licensing-Beta-Windows-0.1.0-beta.3-x64.exe.
The official SHA-256 fingerprint for this release is:
4219679FC66E9CF8ED68A4CF6E3B71200865FACD2C8AC30EEF5FBBB4BD0081D3
2. Install
- Double-click the downloaded installer.
- Follow the installer prompts. It places Verbtec.vst3 in Windows’ standard VST3 folder.
- Open Ableton Live and rescan plug-ins if it does not appear immediately.
- Load Verbtec from Ableton’s VST3 plug-ins, then sign in with the credentials from your private beta invitation.
Because this is a new private-beta release, Windows may say the app is unrecognized. That is a download-reputation warning, not by itself a malware result. Proceed only after confirming that the file name and SHA-256 fingerprint above match the official Atom Plugs release.
If the SmartScreen screen appears, select More info, verify the installer details, then select Run anyway.
If Windows reports a threat or blocks it
Stop the installation and contact Atom Plugs with a screenshot. Do not disable Microsoft Defender, Smart App Control, or other Windows security protections to install the beta.
